The Single Origin series began by accident, from wet coffee grounds spilled onto a sketchpad. I was drawn to the way the grounds shifted with the water, forming organic, unplanned shapes on the page.

As I continued working, subtler meanings emerged. There was a calm in watching the surface change—responding to slight shifts in balance and position. At the same time, the process revealed forms that felt almost landscape-like, as if the work was slowly arranging itself into place.
